Brunswick Defender Hybrid Ball Review

Sharing is caring!

The Brunswick Defender Hybrid is one of the best bowling balls for house shots and lower speed players. It is the first ball to include the new HK22 Coverstock. This brand new coverstock creates a shiny ball that hooks in oil.

Defender Hybrid Bowling Ball

The new Brunswick Defender Hybrid is the first ball introduced using the HK22 Coverstock. At first you’ll noticed how the colors pop, and this is due to the new translucent base material.

The HK22 creates a noticeable advancement in shiny ball hook potential. It creates more teeth in the mid-lane for a shiny ball and a stronger, more responsive breakpoint.

The ACT 3.0 additive package was added to the HK22 base which resulted in more backend and a shiny ball that will handle more volume and give the bowler more area at the breakpoint.

The Defender Hybrid features Brunswick’s innovative outer core technology called DynamiCore. This industry-leading technology is a more durable outer material that yields less compression upon impact, increasing hitting power and creating an undeniable difference in sound and pin carry.

The Defender Hybrid has Durability Optimization Technology (DOT). DOT was developed by Brunswick engineers with one goal in mind – to significantly reduce cracking in performance bowling balls.
